Adding Your First Lecture
Once you have created your course, you can add content to it by clicking on "Course Syllabus" in the navigation bar on the left side of the admin dashboard for that course. Here you have the option of creating either a new lecture or section. A lecture is the actual lesson that you want to teach while a section is just a heading that you can use to group lectures together in manageable chunks for your students.
You also can bulk upload lectures if you have multiple files that you want to upload at one time (such as a series of videos that you've already produced).
After you click "Add New Lecture" you will be taken to the "Edit Lecture" page where you will enter in the lecture's information. Some of the things you can do here are:
- set the lecture's name
- add media in the form of a video or audioclip that can be streamed on the page
- flag whether the lecture's media/attachments are downloadable
- set whether or not the lecture is free to preview

write the lecture's text in either plain text or using html markup
- To edit lecture text in html, click on the button in the top left corner of the text box
- create a description for SEO optimization
- add additional attachments such as audio clips and pdfs for students to download
As with the other sections, when you are finished just click on 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the page.
